About Us

The purpose of Chess Club is to promote the game of chess on the Johns Hopkins University campus by providing a fun, friendly environment for students, faculty, and staff to learn and play chess. As one of the oldest games, chess has cultivated a large following which has grown in recent years. While people can play online, an in-person environment allows for people to socialize, cultivate a healthy chess culture, and improve at the game with the support of peers.
