Enactus is an international organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to enable progress around the world. Guided by faculty advisors and business experts, participating students form teams on their campuses to create and implement community projects that empower people to improve their quality of life and standard of living. The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to becoming effective, values-driven leaders.



Founded in 1975, Enactus has active programs on more than 1,700+ college and university campuses across 36 countries, involving more than 69,000+ students. As an Enactus student, you'll be a participant in one of the largest global student organizations. You will play an active role in shaping the history of your generation and know that you have helped to change the world. A unique aspect of Enactus is that you and your peers get to take complete ownership of your team. You get to decide what projects to conduct, who to work with, how to coordinate projects, and how much time to invest in projects.



By participating in Enactus, you are considered by many business and community leaders as among the "best of the best" in your area. Companies understand the integral role that your Enactus participation has played in your development and some may even recruit at Enactus events. Enactus competitions offer a critical link between you and the job market. Futurism at JHU is a student-run podcast that discusses billion-dollar ideas in science and technology. We have discussed topics including artificial intelligence, neural networks, sustainability, cryptocurrency, and bioethics. Futurism at JHU's guest podcast speakers have included a multi-millionaire entrepreneur, a senior journalist for a prestigious news organization, and a medical student at Brown University.

We provide access to company information sessions, alumni panels, networking sessions, case competitions, and professional development workshops to prepare undergraduates students for a consulting career. We also share a biweekly newsletter that shares job and internship opportunities and other resources, such as for writing resumes and interviewing.

Mission
The Salant Investment Team provides students with a hands-on experience managing securities in a portfolio that operates as part of the University endowment. Members develop their oral presentation skills by creating pitches for critique by team members and other audience members. The team aims to outperform the most relevant benchmark, the S&P 500, and it has been successful in doing so since inception. The team also commits tens of thousands of dollars to supporting financial aid. A portion of the portfolio is withdrawn annually to provide scholarship support for undergraduate students in the Schools of Engineering and Arts and Sciences.

Vision - The founding principles are drawn from American Ornithology Society's mission, which includes the following aims: to advance the scientific understanding of birds and disseminate ornithological knowledge, enrich ornithology as a profession and mentor young professionals, and promote a rigorous scientific basis for the conservation of birds. The organization will work together with and under the guidance of the David S. Olton Program in Behavioral Biology at Johns Hopkins University toward the vision.

Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations (SCNO) is a national organization of undergraduate students committed to developing its members and their communities through pro-bono consulting engagements with non-profit organizations. The Johns Hopkins chapter offers consulting services in a range of categories including energy efficiency and sustainability, information technology, marketing, finances, and other business practices.

Women in Business at JHU - or WiB - was founded to empower undergraduate women to become leaders in the business field. We hope to create a network in the Hopkins community that will help young women develop professionally and achieve their career goals. We plan on achieving this through student and alumni panels on different business fields, resume and interview workshops, mentorship programs, a speaker series, and networking events.

Members will benefit from awareness of internships and conferences/programs that are offered specifically for women through events, panels and networking opportunities.
