The Culture Kitchen is Hopkins Dining's series geared towards celebrating culture & community through cuisine. Each month, a cultural, chef-inspired dish will be featured in our retail dining locations for a limited time. This month's Culture Kitchen we are featuring an Indian dish originating in Delhi, Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan.

A relatively modern variation of traditional lentil dishes, it is made with Urad Dal (black lentils) and Rajma (red kidney beans), Indian Spices and includes butter and cream.

Ingredients: Black lentils, red kidney beans, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves), kashmiri (red chili powder), garam masala (spice), butter, cream, and sometimes cardamom.
