The Hopkins Biotech Network (HBN) is a non-profit student group whose mission is to expose, educate and connect Johns Hopkins students, alumni, postdoctoral fellows, and greater community with opportunities in non-academic careers. We strive to build and foster a supportive community for networking between students and professionals in non-academic fields including biotech, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and industry.
The alumni relations branch organizes a mentor match program in collaboration with the CASSS to support community members to learn about non-academic science careers through focused, one-on-one mentoring with industry professionals.
The industry relations branch promotes an inclusive community by connecting academic individuals with industry professionals through networking events and professional development workshops.
The Hopkins Biotech Podcast provides informational interviews and discussions to illuminate and explore careers in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, consulting, venture capital, and other private sector industries.
