As Latin America confronts rising political volatility, evolving security threats, and renewed geopolitical competition, the intersection of governance, violence, and regional strategy is becoming increasingly central across the Western Hemisphere.
On April 9, the Latin America Studies Initiative at Johns Hopkins SAIS, in collaboration with the Inter-American Defense College, will host the 8th Annual Security Challenges in Latin America Forum: Politics and Violence in a Shifting Hemisphere, a full day forum convening senior policymakers, diplomats, and leading experts.
