RSO Budgeting Process

RSOs can receive their funding from many sources. The information contained on this site is meant to serve as a guide to students as they navigate the JHU processes in an effort support student learning, development, and policy compliance.

RSO Submission Timeline

Semester Allocations - RSOs that receive funding from SGA and the CSC

  • Budget Submission happen during March for fall allocations and November for spring allocations;
  • Submissions are due on April 1 and December 1 each year;
  • Budgets are reviewed between April 1 and August 25th by the respective funding bodies (SGA and CSC)

Direct Funded Organizations - Student Government, GRO, Sports Clubs, and The HOP

  • These groups receive annual allocations and need to submit their budget requests by April 1 each year.

Academic RSOs Funded by KSAS and WSE - No Action Required

RSOs receiving funding from KSAS or WSE need to work with their department to identify funding for the next academic period.  These RSOs do not have access to the funding sources above and do not need to engage in this allocation process.
