Join the Student Affairs team for an afternoon of movie comedy fun, free pizza, drinks and more! Students will also have an opportunity to learn more about how to safely navigating their environment.

Learn some basic self defense techniques in our personal safety class. All students, staff, or faculty are welcome to sign-up to gain skills in awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance. This class will be facilitated by our Community Liaison, Jon Walter, who will share some information on awareness and defense techniques.

Come meet and have dinner with the patrol officers and Public Safety Staff members who work to keep you safe. Officers will be on hand to meet with students and share tips and information. With Give-a-ways and more. Student Affairs will pay for 30 students (15 for Hopkins Cafe and 15 for Nolan's) who are not on a meal plan to join in on the fun. Non-meal plan participants must register in advance.

Join the Office of International Services (OIS) for the second workshop in our four-part New Student Roadmap Workshop Series. This session, “From Culture Adjustment to Living Smarts,” will cover key information on how to successfully transition to life in the U.S. such as the basics of making your way through culture shock, maintaining your status, safety and scams, navigating emergency situations, and more! There will be designated time for questions and answers with international student advisers.
