How’s your new chapter in the semester going? 🌟We’re excited to share some news with you: the Graduate Student Communication Organization (GSCO) has evolved into the version 2.0—Welcome to HopCommNet!
After 3 years of growth, we are now officially recognized as a JHU AAP student organization. This milestone makes HopCommNet not only the next chapter of GSCO, but also a stronger platform to support graduate students in communication and related fields.
WhoAre We?
The HopCommNet (GSCO 2.0) is open to all graduate students in AAP.
We connect and empower students in communication and related fields, providing resources, networking, and professional development to boost academic and career growth.
HopCommNet gathers over 8,000 current and past graduate students, connecting them with like-minded peers, alumni, and tailored events. We also serve as a bridge between the graduate student body and university administration, advocating for their needs and interests.
Here’s what HopCommNet offers you:
Professional Development: Attend communication workshops, panel discussions, and skill-building sessions
Networking: Connect with like-minded graduate students and alumni to exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and expand your professional network
Alumni & Professional Insights: Gain career advice, mentorship, and guidance from experienced alumni and industry guests
Community: Engage in dynamic discussions, hands-on projects, and events (both in-person and virtual) that spark creativity, collaboration, and meaningful connections
Whether you’re curious, creative, or just want to connect with peers who share your passion for communication, now’s the time to jump in as a member, join the conversation, and help shape the culture of our club from the very beginning! As a member, you’ll get access to workshops, events, and networking opportunities designed to help you learn, grow, and connect.
