RSO Updates

Hi RSO Leaders,

An email was sent out on Friday, to groups that did not have the minimum 2 members attend the RSO 101 and/or RSO Finance 101 trainings, which are required components of the RSO Re-Registration process.  Please refer to that email here https://jhu.campusgroups.com/SLI/blog/important--re-registration-updates/14985/?back=3.

As SLI continues to review all re-registration submissions, please continue to utilize the Hopkins Groups system during this process. Here are some key components to be mindful of:

  • Officers & Members: all officers and members will need to accept their membership in the group.  All members and officers submitted on the re-registration form received an email from mailer@campusgroups.com, so be sure to double check your spam folder.
  • Governing Document: Be sure you submit an updated governing document for review.
  • Advisor: if your organization has an advisor, they need to be added to the re-registration submission.  If your advisor’s name did not pop up in the space, email studentorgs@jhu.edu with the advisor’s first and last name, JHU email address, and JHED, so we can create a profile for them in the system.
  • Roster: SLI is only accepting rosters using the template found in Hopkins Groups. The template is located on your organization’s Hopkins Groups page in the membership section under “Upload Members”
  • Relationship Agreement or MOU: if your organization is part of a local, regional, national, or international organization, SLI requires that you share a relationship agreement or MOU that outlines what the relationship is.  If you have not been able to execute this document, be sure to upload a document that clearly indicates where you are in the process.
  • RSO 101 and RSO Finance 101: 2 officers from each organization are required to attend the RSO 101 and RSO Finance 101 trainings. If your organization did not have 2 members in attendance and that completed the evaluation form, the SLI office will be in contact to let you know about the next steps and options moving forward.
  • Please be sure to utilize the chat feature in Hopkins Groups. This is where SLI members will request modifications to your group's submission.
