The Fellowship of Christian Nurses seeks to provide a space for JHUSON students to engage in encouraging, uniquely Christian fellowship. Nursing Students for Harm Reduction (NSHR) is dedicated to addressing the overdose crisis in Baltimore and nationwide. Our mission revolves around combating stigma, preventing fatal overdoses, fostering support, and preparing nursing students to deliver trauma-informed care through various initiatives, including education, volunteer opportunities, discussions, and community outreach. Recognizing our role as future medical professionals who will be caring for individuals who use drugs, we emphasize the significance of treating patients without judgment or stigma.

We recognize that harm reduction emerged as a form of mutual aid and peer support among people who use drugs and/or sell sex. We honor and recognize this movement, and commit to supporting and centering the leadership and expertise of people who use drugs and/or sell sex, even as harm reduction continues to be adopted in more mainstream and professional settings.
