About Us
The Kern National Network for Flourishing in Health (KNN) is a national movement dedicated to fostering the integration of caring, character, practical wisdom, and human flourishing within medicine.
The KNN–Johns Hopkins Chapter aims to advance this mission by:
1. Promoting a culture of reflection, character development, and compassion within the Johns Hopkins medical community.
2. Creating opportunities for connection across learners, faculty, and practitioners who value humanistic medical practice.
3. Collaborating with the Longitudinal Scholars Program for Human Flourishing (LSP) and other institutional partners to enhance student well-being and professional formation. 4. Hosting events and initiatives—such as discussions, book clubs, speaker talks, and service activities—that align with the core elements of caring and character in medicine.
