SHIP is hosting a back to school thrift shop where students can get school supplies and clothes for the new school year. Items will be FREE or sold for $1 to $7 so please bring cash! All proceeds will be donated to Blue Water Baltimore.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. FYMs will lead students around the campus to show them where their classes are following the order of their schedule to get them prepared for the first day of school.

Following the opening session of Democracy Day in Shriver Hall, students will attend 3 short pop-up seminars in buildings near Wyman Quad. These seminars offer you an opportunity to engage directly with diverse faculty and fellows from across the university on important democracy challenges they see in their areas of research. Select one track of 3 pop-up seminars to attend from the menu below. Students are then asked to return to the closing session in Shriver Hall.

How best can you show your fellow residents that you live in the best building on campus? By getting to know your hallmates, making some great memories and getting some sweet building specific merch to show off and rep your hall! Look for a poster in your residence hall about where to meet at 8pm.

Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul! I Really Love That Rocky Horror Picture Show! Come see JHU's Rocky Horror Picture Show Club perform a shadow casting of the cult classic movie. The door opens at 11:45 pm and the show starts at midnight. The cost is $4 per person and you pay at the door!

During this session you will learn about the different types of academic support that Hopkins has to offer. From weekly peer led group sessions to one-on-one support we cover all the bases. Our peer led programs offer content based support as well as strategies around how to manage your time, learn to study in college and how to prioritize your tasks.

You don't want to miss out on being featured in the Class of 2026 photo. New students will gather on Keyser quad and form JHU 26 to take their Class Photo! Follow your FYM instructions closely.

Following the class photo, the Alumni Association will hand out one welcome box to each incoming student. Registration is not necessary, but check in will be required.

The Black Male Initiative Orientation will provide an interactive, informative, and insightful two-hour experience learning about the program, understanding academic support and resources, exploring the various ways to engage with the program, connecting with your BMI mentors, and meeting the BMI collective of faculty, staff, and administrators who is guiding the program.

This program is open Black Male Initiative Scholars & Mentors.

Together as a team of 8 explore the campus by solving escape room clues, puzzles, and interactive tasks in this outdoor scavenger hunt. The top three teams to complete the campus discovery game with the fastest times will win prizes. The Game will be open from August 25 through August 29th. Have fun, and happy hunting!

Instructions:
1. Make a team of 3 to 8 players
2. Have at least 3 players on your team download The Great Game App. IOS Link to app here or you can search "TheGreatGame" in the app store. The Google Play Link can be found here. Or if you scan the QR Code below it will automatically take you to the app store to download the app for ios/android.

For the workshop, we will be teaching a light-hearted choreography to Fire in the Sky by Anderson .Paak. Make sure to wear clothes you can comfortably move in and a water bottle! Come learn a fun, upbeat jazz dance to Sabrina Carpenter's "Thumbs!" Choreography will be taught by members of the Ladybirds Dance Team.
