No, there isn't! Most of our players have had experiences in playing in bands, but any contribution is appreciated!
Yes, we are able to do rentals. Depending on the instrument, we might be able to do semester-long rentals or during rehearsal only.
We recommend not missing more than 2 rehearsals per semester, but this is not a strict requirement if your schedule conflicts with rehearsal time on some weeks. We recommend emailing the conductor and practicing outside rehearsal time.
We have rehearsals every week and a concert every semester. We also plan more social events starting this semester (e.g. going to Peabody concerts together)!

Sarah is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Before returning to university on a full-time basis, she was the Director of Bands at Manchester Township High School in Manchester, NJ, from 2016 to 2023. Sarah was recently appointed Music Director and Head Conductor of the Hunt Valley Wind Ensemble in 2024, and is also the Director of the JHU Wind Ensemble. She earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education with a concentration in classical trumpet in 2013 from William Paterson University in New Jersey, and a Master's Degree in Music Education in 2019 from Rutgers University.
