The DFA in-person Design Sprint: “Designing for Collective Power” with The Breasties is a one-day, cross-institutional event uniting students and alumni from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) to explore how design and business can work together to create more inclusive, accessible solutions through collaboration, empathy, and community impact. Hosted in partnership with The Breasties, the first all-inclusive nonprofit organization that creates community for survivors, previvors, stage 4 thrivers, and caregivers impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers, this year’s sprint will center on reimagining how grassroots, social media–driven communities engage and support their volunteers—exploring new ways to foster connection, coordination, and sustained participation.
Food Provided (A light breakfast and lunch will be served for confirmed attendees.)
