We can't wait to see you on your Blue Jay Community Walk—a guided experience designed to help you explore the neighborhood surrounding Johns Hopkins University. Led by student leaders, this walk will introduce you to key landmarks, local resources, and transportation options in and around Charles Village. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the history, diversity, and culture of the surrounding Baltimore community and learn how to navigate the area safely and responsibly.
This walk will also highlight opportunities for civic engagement through the Center for Social Concern and local partners, encouraging you to see yourself as both a Hopkins student and a member of the broader Baltimore community. Come ready to explore, connect, and begin your journey as an engaged Blue Jay!

Attend a performance through the HopArt program, free of cost, thanks to the Hopkins Family Fund. RSVP to be entered into the ticket lottery. Led by luminary artistic director Mark Caserta, BigKid Dance is a queer movement community based in Philadelphia. They create collaborative, thought-provoking contemporary dance works reflecting on love, grief, curiosity, fear and identity in today’s society primarily through a queer lens.
Departure for this program will be around 6pm for the 7:30pm Annapolis location performance, with optional dinner before the performance. Registration to enter the lottery ends Friday August 12 at 12pm.

This event will replace normal dinner service at Hopkins Café & Nolan's on 33rd. Levering Kitchens will be open for normal service with meal exchange options available from 2-8pm. Kosher meals will be available at the event upon request.
The event is included in student meal plans and is open to undergraduate students only; advanced registration is required via Hopkins Groups. The event rain date is scheduled for Monday, September 8. Additional communication will follow as needed.
