  • Who can fundraise under the Hopkins name?

    Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) that meet university requirements are eligible to fundraise. Groups should be active, in good standing, have a valid university cost object and budget, and be prepared to explain their purpose, timeline, audience, and use of funds.

  • How do we get started?

    Submit an inquiry form *here* before your intended launch date, and our team will review it and get back to you.

  • Which platform will we use?

    Short-term or event-specific campaigns may use GiveCampus. Ongoing support may use a long-term giving form. Contact us for help in determining the best option for your RSO's needs.

  • Can we contact alumni directly?

    All fundraising approaches to alumni should be coordinated with Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). Alumni information is not shared directly with students. DAR may coordinate with advisors and category coordinators when appropriate.

  • Can we raise money for an outside charity?

    Student groups cannot use university-sponsored fundraising channes for personal fundraising or fundraising for outside charitable organiations unless approved through the appropriate university process.

  • What should we do after receiving gifts?

    Every campaign should include a plan to thank donors. Groups should be prepared to send thank-you messages and share the impact of donor support. For more tips, see our *fundraising resources!*
