At the Johns Hopkins University chapter of Tau Beta Pi, we have served students for almost one hundred years since the chapter's inception in 1921. We are the first Tau Beta Pi chapter in the state of Maryland and have proudly honored over 2,500 engineering students during our existence. Membership is a recognition of your academic scholarship and a challenge to foster a spirit of engineering excellence and community service wherever you go. Join us and a national network of over 500,000 fellow Tau Beta Pi honorees.
The Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society is one of the oldest honor societies in the nation, and it is the only honor society that represents all engineering disciplines. The organization represents an expansive national network:
There are now collegiate chapters at 250 US colleges and universities and 42 active alumni chapters in 16 districts across the country, and a total initiated membership of approximately 564,000.
Membership in the Johns Hopkins chapter offers a connection into this community. Please visit www.tbp.org to find out more about Tau Beta Pi at the national level.
