Active Minds at Hopkins is dedicated to stopping suicide before it happens at The Johns Hopkins University through education, outreach, and the creation of a campus environment that supports those with mental, behavioral, and substance use concerns and encourages them to seek help. Chapter activities focus on prevention and early intervention while also acknowledging that work must be done during and after a mental, behavioral, or substance use crisis to foster a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Active Minds at Hopkins does not provide direct peer support or other therapeutic services; instead, the chapter focuses on ensuring that students feel empowered in discussing their mental and behavioral health and have the skills necessary to support themselves and others and advocate for institutional- and community-level change.

The American Mock World Health Organization chapter at Johns Hopkins University leads annual simulation conferences where delegates are invited to assume the roles of global leaders in addressing today's most pertinent global health issues. We provide opportunities for students to develop leadership abilities, sharpen public speaking skills, understand real-world policy applications through the lens of their respective roles. The chapter also recruits for and attends the National AMWHO conference as a delegation.

AMWHO is modeled after the Ontario and Montreal World Health Organization conferences set in Canada, and the primary focus of all three is to raise student awareness of pertinent health issues facing the world today, as well as to promote understanding of the many roles students can engage in through global health policy. The conference hopes to establish an environment similar to that of the World Health Organization's Assembly, and educate future global health leaders in the proceedings of international health entities. Furthermore, AMWHO aims to nurture an interest in global health and health policy that is often neglected in a standard health education curriculum. Students will receive the opportunity to sharpen their diplomacy skills, as well as increase their ability to engage in problem solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

The Catholic Community at Hopkins is a vibrant community of faith that hosts several weekly and monthly events. Weekend and daily Masses are held at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church and University Parish at 2801 N. Charles St., across the street from the south side of campus. Our main gathering space is the student Newman Center adjacent to the church, a welcoming space for students filled with comfortable couches, a flat-screen TV, a pool table, and a fully stocked kitchen, courtesy of our chaplains. The Newman Center is always open to students for studying or relaxing.

This year we are planning on expanding our offerings in accessing the sacraments, fellowship, and spiritual formation, including:
- Family Dinners after the 5pm Sunday Mass
- Newman Night social nights and discussions after Eucharistic Adoration at 7pm on Wednesday nights at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church
- Peer-led small group Bible studies
- Monthly community service opportunities
- Multiple retreats
- Special events such as: Trivia Nights, Advent Party, and more!

The Catholic Community welcomes all, both undergraduate and graduate students, and hopes that you will find a new faith-filled home at Johns Hopkins. MSF provides healthcare in response to disasters both natural and human-made. They leverage the power of everything from computer science to basic sanitation engineering to help combat health epidemics.

Global Medical Brigades is a program of Global Brigades, Inc., the worlds' largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. By utilizing our unique holistic model, we mobilize student volunteers and professionals to empower under-resourced communities in developing countries , as well as in our home communities via secular programs that improve communities' quality of life while respecting local culture and supporting an eventual transition to self-sustainability. Global Medical Brigades does not support paternalism or voluntourism.

Members will be able to travel on annual medical brigades to Honduras or Belize to conduct mobile clinics and health workshops in communities that typically lack doctors in a twenty-mile radius. During this time, they will have the opportunity to shadow physicians and assist with in-take, triage, medication packing, and health education while interacting with community members (50 contact hours). Members will also be able to help organize on-campus speaker sessions that raise awareness about global health inequities and international perspectives on medical issues and sustainable health.

Please note that it is not necessary to be fluent in Spanish to participate in a brigade. We will have translators available with us at all times, and we will also teach members useful Medical Spanish phrases prior to the brigade.

Inter-Asian Council (IAC) is the umbrella organization for Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) clubs on campus and serves as a medium for APIDA groups at Hopkins to collaborate and to work together towards shared goals and causes. Past events have involved showcases/campaigns that promote discussion of APIDA identity and challenges facing the APIDA community, collaborations with other groups (such as the Black Student Union) to build solidarity both within the pan-Asian and greater Hopkins communities, performances featuring prominent pan-Asian entertainers, and pan-Asian cultural events.

Board members of IAC are expected to meet on a weekly basis (on Tuesdays) to discuss future events and collaboration with other organizations. Members in IAC also have complete freedom to express their interest in any APIDA related event/topic and are highly encouraged to start their own project/initiative with support from the rest of the board. There are ample opportunities for all members of IAC to gain leadership experience through event programming and outreach with other multicultural organizations on campus. Within IAC, members are encouraged to network through organized socials, coffee dates, and outings.

The JSA is an independent student group and the student governing body of Hopkins Hillel. The JSA works in partnership with the Hillel staff to help oversee and evaluate student programming and to create policy that will benefit the campus Jewish community. The mission of the Operation Smile chapter at JHU will align closely with the national organization's goals of advocating for children born with cleft lip and cleft palate through the means of raising awareness and funds. We recognize that children born with such conditions often face a lower quality of life due to feeding issues, speech problems, self confidence struggles, among others. Additionally, the majority of the children that Operation Smile seeks to aid come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. As a result, cleft palate treatment/surgery is something that is essential but is often not possible for these kids. We hope to be able to raise money for this cause while also spreading and increasing awareness about cleft lip and palate as a condition through service.

The mission of the Themed Entertainment Association at Johns Hopkins University (TEA@JHU, HopTEA) is to serve as a multidisciplinary professional organization providing students with practical experience in the themed entertainment industry. By giving students opportunities to tour theme parks, participate in design competitions, learn from industry professionals, and attend conferences, it is our goal to show our members the full extent of this industry and help them meet their career goals.

The JHU Undergraduate APSA will operate for the purpose of supporting the growth and training of aspiring physician-scientists on the Homewood campus; helping build a nurturing community of aspiring physician-scientists at a local, regional, and national level; and promoting the integration of medicine and research through outreach and education. We will achieve this through collaborative efforts with the Pre-Professional Office, members of the JHU School of Medicine (SOM) chapter of the American Physician Scientists Association* (APSA*) with whom this organization was ideated, and members of the professional physician-scientist community.

The Violet Project has three main aims:

- To make reliable, comprehensive, and easily understandable sexual/reproductive health education accessible to teens and young adults through a digital platform.

- To provide young people in Baltimore City and beyond with sexual and reproductive health services (including condoms, menstrual hygiene products, and self-collect STI testing) free of charge, increasing access and privacy through an online ordering system, and to distribute these products to low-income youth in our clinics as well.

- To engage young people in Baltimore City and beyond with the creation of the Violet Project, elevating their voices and empowering them to learn about their health and encourage their peers do the same.

Voice for Life is the pro-life student organization at Johns Hopkins University and exists for two primary reasons. The first purpose of Voice for Life is to defend the inviolable right to life of every innocent human being. Our members seek to foster a culture of life at Johns Hopkins University and in the surrounding community. We also advocate for the right to life of the preborn through respectful and productive dialogues. The other essential purpose of Voice for Life is to support pregnant and parenting students by connecting them with resources that can help them achieve both short-term and long-term success. We also promote awareness of these resources within the university to inform the community of their benefits.

We aim to create an inclusive space where students can explore, appreciate, and share the beauty of nature. Unlike other outdoor clubs at Johns Hopkins, our focus lies in active reflection driven by content creation and media publication. We organize one to two outdoor events each month, during which students document their experiences through journals, vlogs, or other creative narrative methods. Following each event, members submit their stories and vote on the most compelling entry to be featured on the club’s newsletter website. In the end of each trip, we will also publish youtube videos that features the natural sceneries in the east coast. Each video is a short documentary lasting around 10 minutes.

Membership is open to all full-time undergraduate JHU students. The club categorizes its members into two levels: Active and General. Active members have specific privileges and responsibilities, including participation in events, contribution to the newsletter, and voting rights. General members may participate in outdoor events but do not have voting or event-organizing rights.

Wing Chun at Johns Hopkins University (also known as Wing Chun @ JHU, hereinafter referred to as WC@JHU) is a Johns Hopkins University student organization that is dedicated to the teaching of members of the JHU community self-defense through the Wing Chun Kung Fu (hereinafter referred to as Wing Chun) system. To this end, WC@JHU will hold several weekly practices on and off campus taught by the instructors.
WC@JHU will also be secondarily dedicated to spreading awareness and interest for kung fu as a whole. To this end, the club will hold outreach events promoting kung fu and martial arts.

Wings is a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore that aims to improve menstrual hygiene and equity in the city. We provide free menstrual hygiene products to underprivileged members of the community, host educational workshops on menstrual, sexual, and womenÔÇÖs health, and offer more sustainable alternatives to single-use menstrual products. In doing so, Wings hopes to break the social shame, stigma, and silence around menstruation to ultimately uplift, enable, and empower those in our communities.

The WomenÔÇÖs Pre-Health Leadership Society (WPHLS) is the first-ever honor society on campus that exclusively recognizes the achievements and accomplishments of young women pursuing the pre-health sciences. Our society consists of female-identifying undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to community service, and a passion in pre-health studies. Our mission is to provide a forum for young women to inspire and empower one another, while addressing the current healthcare and professional issues and concerns facing all women, and promoting the next generation of female physicians and scientists.
