Commitment, Approval, & Rejection

Learn more about our communications commitment as well as our approval/rejection processes.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of communications practices we DO NOT encourage:

  • Over communication – pushing student messaging more than twice in a week unless there is a VERY special circumstance (ordered by Dean, Directors, etc)
  • Promotion of ONE-SIDED events, news, announcements, initiatives – We will closely scrutinize each contribution to ensure that if there is an event that touches upon a controversial subject, it must be analyzed by Maren, and all corresponding directors.
  • We will not micromanage the designs made by the student groups they use as promotion, but will encourage them to use the university approved style when submitting to the digital signage and university-based social media (They will not accept what doesn’t align)
  • We will not place pieces in Spheed Read for student groups.
