ElevateMeD Scholars Program

ElevateMeD empowers the next generation of Black, Latinx, and Native American physicians, prioritizing workforce diversity in the medical field. Scholars enrolled in an MD or DO program receive an annual tuition-based scholarship when enrolled in one of ElevateMeD's partner medical schools.

Added benefits include physician mentorship, financial wellness education, professional development workshops, etc.

National Health Service Corps

The NHSC provides scholarships and loan repayment programs for primary medical, dental, and behavioral health providers. Eligible students must be pursuing primary care health professions training.

NHSC scholars make a two-year commitment to provide healthcare services to communities in need. Those enrolled in an eligible primary health professions degree training program may receive:

  • Payment of tuition
  • Monthly stipends to aid with living expenses
  • Other annual payments for educational costs

NIH Loan Repayment Programs

The NIH Loan Repayment Programs recruit qualified health care professionals into the fields of biobehavioral and biomedical research. Annually, the program repays up to $50,000 of a health professional’s educational debt, in return, the health professional conducts and advances NIH-relevant medical research.

This Army medical scholarship covers full tuition for up to four years and provides a monthly stipend. Those with active duty status in the Army who are pursuing the Medical, Dental, Veterinary, Nursing, Optometry, or Clinical Psychology pathways are good candidates for this program.
