Work with a Welch Library informationist regarding the following:
- Citation Management : Welch Library supports use of citation management tools, including RefWorks, EndNote, Mendeley and Zotero.
- Evidence Based Practice : Welch informationists provide real-time precision searches to locate clinical evidence during morning report, case conference discussions, and EBM rounds for groups and departments.
- Scholarly Publication : Work with an informationist to identify journals (subscription or open access) for article submission. Informationists also provide advice on copyright and plagiarism issues. Comprehensive information searches cover journals, conference abstracts, statistics, gray literature, and other data sources.
- Seeking and Managing Grants : Welch informationists help researchers find federal and private funding opportunities, and consult about tools used to create and update an NIH Biosketch and the professional profile tools that organize and manage research efforts (e.g. ORCID, SciENcv).
- Systematic Reviews : Welch informationists provide a range of services, including an initial consultation, designing and conducting the search, and participating as a review team member on original research projects.
- Teaching and Course Administration : Welch informationists provide education and training in a variety of formats and venues, both in person and online. These include orientations, group instruction, and curriculum support.
- Tracking Research : Welch informationists are available to help individual researchers, departments, and research centers demonstrate productivity and the influence of work on the larger community using tools such as InCites from Clarivate Analytics and SCOPUS.
